Lincoln Composites cylinders have superior performance characteristics, making our cylinders the most compatible for compressed hydrogen for use in a wide variety of applications. The plastic lined, composite fiber overwrap has proven to be durable and ideal for containing higher pressures. We were the first to develop and offer to the industry 700 Bar (10,000 psi) and 950 Bar (13,000 psi) tanks.

Lincoln Composites has supplied cylinders for hydrogen applications since 2000. Our tanks are compatible with a variety of applications and in a wide range of environments:

Vehicles: Heavy, Medium and Light Duty transportation / automotive applications:

  • Supplier to a variety of major OEM’s, including research & development and currently, the sole OEM production program

Material handling applications:

  • Supplier to largest volume fuel cell forklift integrator

Stationary:

  • Our cylinders are used in various regions throughout the world at compressed hydrogen and compact (home refueling type) hydrogen stations, including canopy installation where light-weight cylinders are necessary.

In 2008, Lincoln Composites was chosen as a member of the Department of Energy’s Hydrogen Storage Engineering Center of Excellence (HSECoE) to promote the use of composites within hydrogen storage with the purpose of accelerating the market entry of fuel cell vehicles.  By serving in this capacity, Lincoln Composites can best demonstrate our comprehensive engineering and technical capabilities for hydrogen storage.
